If I had a billion dollars, I'd give a million to each of my friends and family. I'd have an indoor gym and pool built at my college. I'd pay for teachers aides at my daughter's school. I'd buy every book Nora Roberts ever wrote, and I'd fly to her next book signing so I could tell her thank you for saving my sanity by giving me an escape from reality for a few hours at a time.

La la la la la la

I've almost vanquished the paper monster thats been in the kitchen floor. It was made of all A's end-of-semester papers, homework, busywork etc, all of M's pretty artwork from daycare, and all my leftover crap from school. There are a few random pieces left to go through, but I'll be able to mop the floor tonight. Yay!

    Stuff

I don't know much.  I've been wandering around.  My sister is having her dnc right now.  My kids are being goons.  I need to do laundry and mop the kitchen floor, and go to Walmart and Big Lots to return stuff, and go to the bank.  I want to curl up and cry.  Being the oldest sucks.

    Grades.

I got an F in Calculus.
    D in Microeconomics
    C- in Intro to Fiction
    B in career Perspectives
    C in International Business Environments

My GPA went from 3.4 something to 3.0 something. (I think.) Not good.

    Snow.

And lots of it. We have over 14 inches of the stuff right now. The mayor has declared a snow emergency and nobody is supposed to be on the roads unless its an emergency. Yeesh! Glad I braved the roads earlier and stocked up on groceries. (Also had to buy boots for M- A's from last year still fit her, so she didn't need any more.)
Anyway... time for bed. Nite nite.

    Mourning what might have been...

My sister went to the doctor yesterday. She was 12 weeks pregnant. They couldn't find the baby's heartbeat.
This is her second miscarriage in a year. To make her life even worse- her boyfriend's brother announced on Friday that he and his wife are expecting.
I drove her to the doctor today, and sat with her while the doctor set up a time for the DNC.
I had bought her a present for the baby for Christmas- a little yellow duck hand puppet that quacks. This isn't fair. She would make a terrific mom. Why are people who make lousy parents able to have kids, and people who want a baby desperately aren't able- or are able to get part of the way there and then lose the baby. Life sucks.

Going shopping with my little sister after work.  She's sitting here in the library with me surfing the net until I get off work.  She has to finish her Christmas shopping... and so do I.  (I only have two things left to get, though, so I'm almost done.)  I don't know much of anything.  Maybe I'll be back later.

    And the results are in...

I failed calculus. Got a 21% on the final. That gave me a 48% for the semester. Oh well.
    Such is life.

    Oops.

Didn't make it to the calculus final yesterday. My little sister called me and informed me that she totaled her car and needed a ride to the emergency room. Turns out she broke her hand and pinky finger, and I have to take documentation from the hospital in to the instructor today at 1pm to take the final. Argh. I had nightmares all night last night about this final. It was bad. Oh well, such is life. If I fail, I take it over. Big fucking deal.
    Well, thats all I know.

    Calculus.

Today is the final in calculus. If I get at least a D in the class, I don't have to take it over again. I currently have a C-. I need at least a C on the final for safety's sake.

See? All I can think of these days is school and other equally stupid stuff.

Does anyone know anything about Access? I can't remember how to insert a total in a report. (Argh.)

    Update on life.

Yeah. Its been busy. M is inexplicably fascinated with his own bowel movements. He announces their immenent arrival, their progress, and their completion in great and vivid detail. "I had a lot of poop in my butt today. It took a long time to all come out."

A came home from school last Friday and informed us that we needed to pull her tooth right away. She was quite frantic about it. After some discussion, it was apparent that a boy in her class had been threatened with a trip to the dentist if he didn't pull his tooth out by Monday. We assured her that it wasn't an issue.

Thursday morning she woke up and told me that she had pulled her tooth the night before while seh was supposed to be going to sleep, but instead of bringing it to her dad or me, she gave it to her 3yo brother and told him to bring it to us. He played with it instead and managed to lose it. Still haven't found it. Oops. Oh well.

Finals start Tuesday, but I don't have one until Wednesday. However, I have two 5 page papers to finish, several (like 8 or 10) short papers to do, and a lot of studying to do. I'm in sooo much trouble.

Speaking of which, its time to go do homework.
